A 4-star Superior Hotel in the Black Forest needs the best ingredients just like an excellent meal. The solidarity and spirit of our family and team, with more than 80 employees, are a basic component. Hospitality and a passion for our house have been lending the Hotel Sackmann its excellent spice and aroma for four generations.

Our ancestors established the basis for our spa and luxury hotel with a café and guest house in 1927. In 1950 Anita & Reinhold Sackmann took over the house with 18 beds and today their children, Jörg Sackmann with his family and Waltraut Wagner, shape the business with room for 120 guests.

Refined variety: Culinary art, wellness & pleasure

We have been keeping traditions alive from generation to generation and, at the same time, setting new accents through new developments. Buildings have been built and remodelled, and as a result of these changes, Hotel Sackmann has developed a refined variety through the years. 

In 1993, after master training positions with Harald Wohlfahrt, Henry Levy and Eckart Witzigmann, Jörg Sackmann opened the Schlossberg Gourmet Restaurant in the Hotel Sackmann and - among other distinctions - cooked up 2 Michelin stars and 17 points with Gault Millau with his aromatic and creative cuisine. 

In 2008 the Sackmann SPA was built. It complements Jörg Sackmann's cosmopolitan culinary philosophy with the Aroma World and shines brightly with 5 stars. The fourth generation is already active in the hotel: Nico and Daniel Sackmann inherited their passion for the hotel and its cuisine from their grandfather and father. They are committed to giving the hotel its spice.
